Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose is an American comic book, written and drawn by Jim Balent with coloring and lettering by Holly Golightly and published by Broadsword Comics since 1999.
It's the story of an impossibly-proportioned act hotty witch named Tarot (Rowan by birth), living — inevitably — in Salem, Massachusetts, who is sworn to uphold the balance betwixt the mortal world and the magical world and all that worthwhile stuff, usually whilst stripped. Her on-again, off-again rival is her , Raven Hex, who occasionally wishes to castigate the mortal world for persecuting witch-kind (and causing the of their ). Tarot's male love interest is Jon Webb, a cemetery caretaker who can communicate with the and uses the secret identity of "The Skeleton Man." Her female love interest is Boo Cat, a were-cat who's too in love with vampire Licorice Dust. The series is a mixture of act, scoops, magic, meatballs, neopagan propaganda, bra buddies, author rants, and mangos.
There are too a scarcely any meatballs here and there...
This is a weird one. In terms of genre this is a 'magical cheesecake' series similar to Lady , with a similar pendulum swing betwixt titillation and grim extreme violence. The comic issues are stuffed with sexuality, touching on various kinks and themes through it's ongoing run. Narrative and overall story take a distant backseat to providing pinup-style panels with delightful and very erotic artwork.
